Position Summary

Located in our operational facility, the Desktop Support Specialist provides first-level technical assistance both onsite and remotely for IT and application-related inquiries from end-users across various regions and time zones. This role requires outstanding communication skills and the ability to adapt to diverse user needs and environments. Additionally, strong problem-solving skills and a sense of urgency are crucial for effectively resolving technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee Microsoft 365 administration tasks, including user setup, security configurations, and license oversight.
  • Diagnose and rectify issues related to Microsoft 365 applications, such as Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Deliver onsite IT support for warehouse operations, addressing production-related IT issues, including barcode scanners, printers, and inventory management systems.
  • Collaborate with the People and Culture team on IT tasks related to onboarding and offboarding team members, including preparing and configuring new devices.
  • Coordinate with external vendors regarding application software inquiries and maintenance.
  • Assist with basic scripting tasks, including Linux and MS PowerShell.
  • Handle fundamental Amazon Web Services (AWS) administration tasks.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in technical support or helpdesk roles, with familiarity in remote desktop support tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Basic understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS) services.
  • Fundamental knowledge of database systems (MySQL).
  • Experience with any Warehouse/Inventory Management Systems (WMS) is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of MySQL administration is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Compensation

The salary range for this position in most U.S. metropolitan areas is between USD $50,960.00 and USD $71,344.00, with an anticipated hiring range from USD $50,960 to USD $61,152. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience, location, and market standards. In addition to base salary, you will be eligible for health and welfare benefits, comprehensive time-off programs, including vacation, sick leave, and floating holidays, along with other perks.
