Project Controls Manager

Job Summary:
Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Manager to join our Critical Infrastructure team. This role will involve developing, managing, and executing all phases of the project controls effort, including planning, scheduling, and cost analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project schedule performance according to contract requirements
- Update project schedules regularly and ensure timely reporting to stakeholders
- Prepare and deliver regular project financial performance reviews
- Track project budgets and expenses, providing accurate and timely updates
- Collaborate effectively with the management team to ensure project milestones are met
- Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance to project teams for the resolution of difficult and complex project control problems
- Interface with clients, attend regular meetings, and provide statistical reports
- Manage a team of Project Control Engineers/Specialists who are qualified to analyze, evaluate, and forecast project costs, as well as performance against an established schedule with critical milestones
- Assess the impact(s) of design/construction changes and schedule slippages
- Oversee the development and maintenance of an established system to show the hierarchy of plans and schedules; keep project and company management fully informed
- Coordinate staffing requirements, assign and supervise project work activities, and train personnel
- Complete performance reviews and provide personnel development for the assigned employees
- Recommend and oversee the customization of project control systems to meet specific project requirements
- Create statistical reports for management on a recurring or one-of-a-kind basis
- Participate in business development efforts by gathering and presenting a variety of background data. May be required to make informal or formal presentations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Minimum of 12 years of related experience in project scheduling, financial analysis, or project management
- Experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity
- Engineering knowledge in electrical, mechanical, civil, or a related field
- Proficient PC skills including a proficiency in various Project Controls Software, including Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Thorough knowledge of industry practices is required
