Sales Director for Personalized Medicine

Myriad Genetics is seeking a skilled Sales Director to join our team in the Dayton, Ohio area. As a Sales Director for Personalized Medicine, you will be responsible for expanding our business and providing support to existing clients within our focused market of practices.

Responsibilities- Identify and Develop Commercial Relationships: Identify, develop, and manage commercial relationships with key opinion leaders in medicine and other key healthcare professionals.
- Commercial Opportunities: Identify and capitalize on commercial opportunities for growth within a specific region or geography - predominately in the traditional out-patient practices, but also inclusive of institutions, local insurance payors, physician groups, long term care facilities, etc.
- Sales Process Management: Manage full lifecycle of the product sales process, including new business development and lead generation via programs and other initiatives.
- Collaboration with Marketing Team: Collaborate with the marketing team on the development of sales and marketing collateral.
- Industry Events: Attend local tradeshows, industry conferences and networking events.
- Market Trends: Staying current on industry and marketplace trends in the areas of personalized medicine.
- Bachelor's Degree Required: Bachelor's degree required.
- Diagnostic Sales Experience: Must have a minimum of 3 years of diagnostic sales or specialty pharmaceutical sales experience.
- Personalized Medicine Knowledge: Specific knowledge in personalized medicine is strongly preferred.
- CRM Experience: Salesforce.com or similar CRM experience required.
- Commercial Relationship Management: Demonstrated experience in developing and managing commercial relationships with physicians, physician practices, patient advocacy groups and key opinion leaders.
- Sales Territory Growth: Verifiable track record with building and growing a sales territory by managing the implementation of commercial programs and sales initiatives.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Time Management: Excellent time management, scheduling, and organizational skills.
- Work Environment: Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and work effectively under tight timelines and schedules.
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member.
- Issue Sensing: Ability to sense the importance or impact of issues/situations and take appropriate actions.
- HIPAA Compliance: Working knowledge and application of HIPAA laws, privacy, and ethics surrounding patient privacy and information.
- Values and Ethics: Demonstrated values and ethics that support Myriad's mission, goals, and professional code of conduct.
- Discretion and Professionalism: Ability to use discretion and professionalism as it relates to handling patient and physician information and documentation.
Lifting Requirements: sedentary to light work or exerting 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently. Physical Requirements: stationary positioning, moving, operating, ascending/descending, communicating, and observing. Use of equipment and tools necessary to perform essential job functions. OSHA category III - normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid, or tissue and as part of the employment, will not be called upon to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid.

SalaryThe estimated salary for this role is $85,000-$120,000 per year, depending on experience.
