Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and monitor budgets to ensure financial sustainability and growth
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and laws, including those related to non-profit accounting and government contracts
  • Oversee cash flow planning and management to ensure availability of funds as needed
  • Manage financial assets, including investments, debt, and other financial instruments
  • Develop and implement financial analysis tools to provide insights into the organization's operations and business plans
  • Collaborate with the executive director and other senior leaders to develop and implement long-term strategic plans for the organization
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to stakeholders, including the board of directors and government funders
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or equivalent required
  • At least eight years of experience in a senior financial-management role, preferably in a non-profit organization with a budget of at least $40 million
  • Significant experience in or knowledge of non-profit accounting, including sophisticated fund and grant accounting, compliance, and reporting
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of relevant federal audit regulations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills
