Production Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to lead our 1st shift in Monroe, North Carolina. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing initiatives that align the department with the company's long-range plans, mission, and goals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a cohesive team who consistently work in collaboration with one another and other departments to meet customer requirements of quality, quantity, and delivery.
- Maintain a good work climate through training, safety awareness, goal setting, process improvement, quality standards, production standards, discipline, and individual and department development.
- Evaluate customer, departmental, and employee needs and recommend new technologies.
- Evaluate processes and workflows for improvement opportunities and implement changes.
- Evaluate employee training needs and facilitate training opportunities.
- Determine and monitor appropriate levels of staff for assigned shift.
- Develop and maintain production and quality standards for performance reviews.
- Audit setup checklists.
- Communicate key accomplishments, important facts, and performance metrics.
- Hold standup meetings daily or weekly as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior supervisory or management experience.
- Knowledge of manufacturing (preferably printing) workflow.
- Demonstrated skills in leadership, organization, and problem-solving.
- Excellent communicator, listener, negotiator, and facilitator.
- Ability to understand complex concepts and communicate across all levels of the company.
- Highly motivated.
- Must embrace change/risk and demonstrate a "whatever it takes" attitude.
- Experience in MS Office suite.
- Experience in the printing industry.
- Experience with variable data printing and processes.
- Solid understanding of the publishing industry, terminology, direct mail requirements, and postal specifications.
