Position Overview
We are on the lookout for a Junior Event Coordinator to become an integral part of our team. This role will involve assisting in the execution of various live events, conferences, and webinars, working closely with our Senior Production team. Your responsibilities will include managing budgets, coordinating with vendors, researching venues, and providing production support as necessary. You will play a key role in fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture at Invisible North, contributing to our reputation for outstanding creativity and design.
Work Environment
While our main office is located in a vibrant area, we embrace a flexible work model that allows our team members to collaborate from various locations. However, we do require that you spend 1-2 days a week working alongside the team in our office.
Contract Details
This position is offered on an initial freelance basis, with the potential for a full-time role. The full-time salary will range from $80,000 to $85,000, depending on experience and location.
Key Responsibilities
- Report to Senior Production Staff regarding project progress.
- Collaborate effectively with project teams, design departments, and on-site event staff.
- Utilize project management and communication tools to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in managing external vendors in alignment with agency and client requirements.
- Support the Senior Production team in addressing technical, logistical, and AV needs for events.
- Contribute to the creation of essential production documents, including project trackers and cue sheets.
- Help develop and maintain production budgets in collaboration with the Senior Production team.
- Manage multiple projects at various stages of development simultaneously.
- Coordinate with legal and finance teams to ensure compliance with policies and budget management.
- Travel to event locations as required for setup, execution, and teardown.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Ability to work remotely during standard hours or from our office, with a preference for candidates based in the area.
- Experience in supporting the execution of diverse events, including webinars and conferences.
- A passion for travel, culture, and the arts.
- A strong affinity for event planning and experiential marketing.
- Excellent organizational skills, creativity, and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong multitasking skills and initiative in project support.
- Willingness to travel as needed and work occasional weekends or evenings for specific projects.
Compensation
Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 annually
