Job Description

As a Staff Thermal Technologist, you'll be part of our Integrated Thermal Systems Operating Unit, a world leader in two-phase thermal management of spacecraft.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and develop two-phase thermal control systems, adapting and applying new and existing technologies to unique and highly variable spacecraft.
  • Analyze the performance of thermal systems using internal tools and thermal desktop calculations.
  • Review designs to ensure compliance with system requirements and develop testing procedures to verify performance.
  • Conduct testing to verify thermal system performance and work with manufacturing engineers to write processing instructions.
  • Partner with Business Development and Program Management to shape new opportunities and capture new business.
Requirements:
  • 14+ years of direct mechanical/aerospace engineering experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant STEM discipline.
  • Fundamental understanding of thermal system designs and ability to apply physics principles to solve problems.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with two-phase thermal control systems and graduate or PhD-level thermodynamics, physics, and/or fluid mechanics.
