Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef De Partie to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences and a proven track record of delivering high-quality food and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook food to the highest standards of production quality and quantity.
  • Assist in creating and testing new recipes and menu designs.
  • Supervise the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, ensuring that food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
  • Train and support kitchen staff to maintain high levels of employee morale and department productivity.
  • Coordinate service, pass, and pick-up of food.
  • Inspect the cleanliness of the line floor and kitchen stations.
  • Oversee the proper and efficient preparation of food for restaurant service.
  • Maintain a current computer listing of all scheduled business.
  • Ensure foods are stored and served at proper temperatures.
  • Taste and monitor presentation of all food served to guests.
  • Report all needed equipment repairs.
  • Assist cooks to prepare foods on the line during service.
  • Follow all specified procedures to open or close the kitchen.
  • Assume all duties of the Sous Chef in their absence.
  • Assist with inventories and ordering.
Requirements
  • English fluency required; Spanish fluency helpful.
  • Culinary graduate with knowledge of all facets of kitchen operations and production.
  • Minimum two years prior hotel/kitchen experience, including a minimum of one year of supervisory experience.
  • Familiar with OSHA, local Department of Health regulations, and Covid protocols.
  • Food handlers card required upon hire.

  • Demonstrated ability to train staff and ensure luxury resort customer service.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Safety-minded and committed to high-quality standards.
  • Good team player with a customer service focus.
  • Ability to effectively manage staff to maintain high levels of morale and productivity.
Working Conditions

The ideal candidate will be able to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays, and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The kitchen may be moist, warm, and odorous from cooking foods, and the floor may be slippery from moisture and grease.
