**Job Summary**

CSL is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Screener to join our team. As a Medical Screener, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our donors by conducting thorough screenings and providing exceptional customer service.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Assist donors in completing the screening process, including assessing health history, answering medical questions, and performing health screening procedures.
  • Refer donors to medical staff when necessary and ensure accurate recording of donor data in our electronic system.
  • Provide education to new donors on the use of therapeutic products made from donated plasma, including explaining the screening process and health screening tests.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to donor inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and efficient work environment, ensuring sufficient operating supplies and forms are available as needed.
  • Follow all Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies and procedures.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center information.

**Requirements**

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in a medical or health provider environment.
  • Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions.
  • Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines.
  • Must be able to see and speak with customers and observe equipment operation.

**Working Conditions**

  • Frequent exposure to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and to blood-borne pathogens.
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment while performing specific tasks or in certain areas.
  • Required to work overtime and extended hours to support center operational needs.
