  • Provides patient and family education on medical procedures, treatments, and self-care techniques.
  • Participates in the clinic patient registration and check-out process, scheduling outpatient diagnostic testing and obtaining pre-authorizations and precertifications as needed.
  • Maintains and communicates accurate provider schedules and patient appointments, ensuring seamless coordination of care.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation, adhering to established standards and regulations.
  • Responds to medication refill requests and electronic medical record (EMR) workload messages in a timely manner, including medication pre-authorization processes as deemed necessary.

Education and Experience:

  • Graduate from a Medical Assisting program.
  • Previous nursing or clinical experience in a physician's office practice is preferred.

Licensure and Certification:

  • Certification in Medical Assisting is required.
