Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Advanced Locate (SUE) Technician to join our team at Blood Hound. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for using advanced observational skills and deductive reasoning to identify, locate, and mark all utilities within a requested job scope.

Our ideal candidate will possess troubleshooting skills and be willing and able to learn new procedures and technologies. Private utility locating involves marking all facilities regardless of ownership or type, including sewer, electric, abandoned facilities, chemical transport, and other exotic utilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use advanced observational skills and deductive reasoning to identify, locate, and mark all utilities within a requested job scope
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to utility detection and marking
  • Learn and apply new procedures and technologies as needed
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals

Requirements:

  • Experience reading CAD, GIS, and MicroStation files is a plus
  • Candidates must be able to pass a 'fit to work' physical examination
  • Overtime, after-hours work, and overnight travel may be required
