Job Description

The Project Utility Coordinator will be responsible for managing the relocation of dry utilities such as telecom, fiber, and electrical during infrastructure development projects. This role will require close collaboration with utility owners, relocation coordination consultants, and the Georgia Department of Transportation to ensure that the utility adjustment process meets the requirements of the Design, Build, and Finance Agreement.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with utility owners and relocation coordination consultants to ensure that utility conflicts are resolved as mutually agreed and do not conflict with construction activities and the project schedule.
  • Attend and lead utility coordination meetings.
  • Act as a liaison between utility owners, relocation coordination consultants, and the Georgia Department of Transportation.
  • Establish, coordinate, and update the utilities design schedules and sequence of utilities work schedules.
  • Manage utility coordination with utility owners, production of the Utility Assemblies, and utility adjustment construction.
  • Produce written reports on the status of all elements of the utility adjustment process.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines such as project controls, design, construction, public relations, financial services, and environmental to ensure the necessary level and degree of integration with those units and the Utility Adjustment Work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in coordinating utility adjustments on projects of similar complexity, size, and scope is required.
  • 5 to 10 years of highway, bridge, road, or runway experience as a Project Manager or Sr. Project Manager is preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills are preferred.
  • Experience managing a budget is required.
