This 22-bed unit cares for a high concentration of post-op surgical patients, including surgical oncology, and supports patients with complex comorbidities, including heart failure.

Salary

$115,000 per year, based on experience.

Job Description

Career Opportunities:

As an Advanced Practice Nurse in our Surgical Oncology department, you'll be working as a vital member of inter-professional teams in hospitals and clinics that are committed to outstanding patient care.

You'll be responsible for delivering safe, dependable, and effective care to a patient population independently using the nursing process.

Our nurses are integral members of our teams, and we're looking for someone who is a strong advocate for patients and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe, dependable, and effective care to a patient population independently using the nursing process.
  • Recognize the impact of nursing care on patient outcomes.
  • Continues to recognize own performance limitations, but requires minimal assistance.
  • Documents the nursing process accurately and in the appropriate format.
  • Plans and implements patient care independently.
  • Utilizes patient/family input and goals in planning the plan of care.
  • Evaluates patient's response to planned care and adjusts the plan of care as appropriate.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have a graduate degree in nursing and at least one year of recent nursing experience within the past five years. A valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board is also required.

BLS certification is required, and ACLS may be required in designated departments.
