Job Title: Support Staff for Elementary and Middle School Students with Disabilities

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and behavior analysts to implement behavioral programming and support plans.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, focusing on behavior management and skill development.
  • Monitor and record student progress using data-based recording systems, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Consult with school staff, families, and other team members to provide support and resources, promoting a collaborative and inclusive environment.
  • Assist with the supervision of daily routines and schedules, including services such as feeding, toileting, and assisting therapists, ensuring a smooth and efficient daily operation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous school-based experience, preferably in a similar role.
  • Ability to provide guidance and oversight of school-wide behavioral management systems, promoting a positive and supportive school culture.
  • Strong commitment to the belief that all students can learn and be successful in school, with a focus on individualized support and accommodations.
  • Demonstrated competence in behavior management skills, with a willingness to adapt and try various approaches depending on student need.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Completion of a BACB-approved RBT course.
  • Current registration with the BACB.
