Job Title: Hard Cook Sanitation Tech

Job Summary:
This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the assigned department area, ensuring compliance with safety work rules and reinforcing safety as a core value. The successful candidate will be accountable for performing daily, weekly, and monthly master sanitation schedules, following daily production start-up procedures, and cross-training in sanitation jobs.

Responsibilities:
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly master sanitation schedules for the department area
• Follow daily production start-up procedures
• Cross-train in sanitation jobs
• Report any equipment or mechanical problems
• Use team efforts when inspecting the area
• Follow duties of the plant goals without being prompted
• Conduct effective pre-op inspections to RTE standards
• Replace gaskets
• Ensure the room complies with regulations
• Follow proper SOPs (Standard Operation Procedures) and adhere to safe work practices, GMPs, and maintain sanitary conditions
• Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality, or personnel safety

Requirements:
• No prior experience or training required
• Prior manufacturing and/or sanitation experience preferred
• Ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a company pallet jack license
• Experience with pallet jack and/or forklift preferred
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
• Must demonstrate open and honest communication
• Demonstrates the ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships and work effectively with others to complete work assignments
• Able to safely lift and carry 50lbs
• Able to work independently or with others in a team environment depending upon the assignment
• Self-motivated while also willing to ask questions and seek direction
• Displays responsible behavior at work
• Open to change
• Ability to work in cold, wet, noisy, dusty, and humid environments
• Ability to work around required cleaning solutions
• Possesses good hand-eye coordination
• Able to stand on hard surface most of the shift, ascend and descend stairs, bend, stoop, or crouch, grasp, and reach
