Job Summary:

The Material Receiving position at Post Holdings is responsible for assisting with stocking materials required for production and processing, as well as loading and unloading of trucks. This role also involves assisting with shrink/damage investigations and rotation of products. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on safety and quality, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate the forklift and pallet jack to efficiently move materials throughout the facility
• Assist in stocking materials required for production and processing
• Load and unload trucks to ensure timely delivery of goods
• Accurately count all incoming materials and sign off on the bill of lading
• Identify shrink/damage and assist with investigation
• Ensure rotation of product to maintain inventory accuracy
• Maintain inventory accuracy and complete necessary paperwork accurately and on time
• Assist Quality and other departments with sampling procedures
• Perform daily sanitation of material storage areas and maintain master sanitation schedule
• Fill in for Lead Person when needed
• Follow all plant and USDA quality standards and rules

Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent
• Ability to obtain and maintain a company forklift license
• Prior manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups, customers/vendors or employees of the organization
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form
• Must demonstrate open and honest communication
• Demonstrates the ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships and work effectively with others to complete work assignments
• Able to safely lift and carry 50lbs
• Able to work independently or with others in a team environment depending upon the assignment
• Self-motivated while also willing to ask questions and seek direction
• Displays responsible behavior at work
• Open to change
• Ability to work in cold, wet, noisy, dusty and humid environments
• Ability to work around required cleaning solutions
• Possesses good hand-eye coordination
• Able to stand on hard surface most of the shift, ascend and descend stairs, bend, stoop or crouch, grasp and reach
