  • Customer Engagement (70%)
    • Manage the sale and reconciliation of parking permits for faculty, staff, and students, ensuring strict accountability of financial transactions.
    • Facilitate the sale and processing of specialized permits, including those for retirees, bicycles, carpooling, and temporary medical needs.
    • Conduct daily reconciliation of permit sales and inventory, ensuring accuracy across various payment methods.
    • Prepare daily deposit reports in compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
    • Assist university visitors by providing maps and directions to appropriate parking areas.
    • Handle the return of parking permits and maintain accurate records in the system.
    • File completed forms for daily reconciliation and seek supervisor assistance for overrides as necessary.
    • Ensure proper issuance of permits for participants in specialized programs, verifying eligibility through departmental lists.
    • Process parking citations and ensure accurate record-keeping in the database.
    • Verify vehicle registration and class schedules using the relevant systems.
    • Manage petty cash and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed.
    • Remove academic holds as needed and process third-party charges for permits.
    • Handle appeals for parking citations, providing clear explanations of the process.
    • Deliver exceptional parking services to employees, students, and visitors while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Inventory Management (15%)
    • Participate in audits related to permit inventory and report discrepancies to management.
    • Maintain accurate records of permit requests and monitor inventory levels.
    • Ensure that the inventory control log is updated with accurate information.
  • Telephone Operations (10%)
    • Act as the primary phone receptionist, directing calls to appropriate personnel.
    • Process visitor parking permit requests and provide general information about parking policies.
    • Assist in training and serving as a backup receptionist as needed.
    • Support special events and be prepared to work overtime, including nights and weekends.
  • Additional Responsibilities (5%)
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment as required by management.
    • Process returned mail and ensure accurate billing addresses.
    • Conduct monthly identity verification as directed.
