Quality Control and Shipping Specialist

Role Overview:
As a Quality Control and Shipping Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of incoming and outgoing products through meticulous inspections and adherence to company standards.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough inspections of incoming raw materials, which includes:
- Assessing trailer cleanliness, temperature, and overall condition.
- Evaluating box integrity and product appearance, ensuring compliance with purchasing specifications and weight requirements.

2. Oversee outgoing finished product inspections, focusing on:
- Verifying the accuracy of filled orders.
- Inspecting box conditions prior to shipment.
- Ensuring product temperature meets acceptable levels.
- Checking trailers for cleanliness and satisfactory conditions, along with verifying box labels and product content.

3. Quality Control Tasks:
- Perform work-in-progress quality checks, including equipment calibration (thermometers, scales) and monitoring metal detector operations.
- Supervise aged inventory and order filler checks, ensuring compliance with Critical Control Points (CCP) and daily antimicrobial application monitoring.

4. Inventory Management:
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Conduct daily quality checks on steak cutting and monitor cutting yields.

5. Training and Reporting:
- Provide training to employees as necessary.
- Complete and submit regular reports for statistical and operational analysis.

Compliance:
All duties must be performed in accordance with USDA, DDA, OSHA, and local regulations, as well as company policies regarding safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).

Additional Information:
This position may require overtime with or without notice. A minimum of one year of experience in a food production environment is preferred.
