Job Description

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Post Closing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Post Closing Group, you will be responsible for auditing closed loan packages and collateral documents to ensure the bank's security interest and adherence to established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and review loan packages from various branch locations, title companies, and law firms.
  • Verify the accuracy of loan documents and update exceptions for missing or trailing documents.
  • Image documents into the bank's software and prepare collateral file labels for new loans.
  • Organize and release customer-purchased tax certificates and floor plan titles.
  • Maintain exception tracking reports and work with lending staff to resolve exceptions.
  • Monitor and process collateral requests via the Post Loan Closing Group email address.
  • Issue releases of collateral on previous paid legacy loans, current paid loans, or as directed by lending staff.
  • Process paid loans and prepare closing/release packages to mail to customers.
  • Add and update paid loan data on tracking spreadsheets.
  • Provide release/paid documents to third-party mortgage servicing vendors.
  • Audit loan files to determine if they can be pledged to the FRB or FHLB and maintain required documentation to ensure compliance with regulations and audit requirements.
  • File UCC filings and record trailing documents for non-title company closings via various vendors.
  • Perform audits of boarded loan packages and collateral documents to ensure the bank's security interest and adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Audit and process payment of third-party loan-related invoices.
  • Assist with data collection and reporting for commercial loan support projects and audits.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
  • Minimum of two years' experience working with commercial loan documentation/collateral.
  • Knowledge of FIS, nCino, Simplifile, and CT Lien Solutions is a plus.

Byline Bank offers a competitive industry rate salary band, medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, paid time off, and more. The anticipated hourly range for this position is between $20.91 and $24.04.
