As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Surgical Services department at Johnston-Willis Hospital, you will be part of a vibrant team dedicated to promoting educational opportunities, specialty certifications, and career advancement.

Our 16 Suite Operating Room conducts a wide range of surgical procedures, including Da Vinci, Trauma, Orthopedic, Cardiothoracic, ENT, Vascular, Pediatric, Urology, Plastic, and General Surgeries.

Johnston-Willis Hospital is recognized for performing the highest number of Da Vinci robotic surgeries in Central Virginia and is the first facility in Virginia to achieve the designation of Center of Excellence in Robotics Surgery.

You will thrive in a collaborative environment where your contributions are vital to the department's success.

As a team member, you will monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions effectively using computerized documentation systems.

Our nurses act as the primary coordinators for all disciplines, ensuring well-coordinated patient care.

As a nurse on our team, participation in an On-Call rotation with a callback time of 30 minutes is required.


Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Perioperative RN or completion of a Perioperative Nurse course
- Scrubbing or surgical assistant experience is preferred
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia through the Board of Health Professions.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
