Job Overview

Summary/Objectives:

The Quality Manager role at Paumac Tubing LLC is crucial for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality protocols and initiatives that ensure compliance with both regulatory standards and customer expectations.

This position also encompasses providing support for quality systems, enhancing training programs, and driving continuous improvement of Quality Management Software applications, including dashboards and other relevant tools across Paumac facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and uphold quality standards, policies, and testing methodologies.
  • Analyze and refine manufacturing processes to detect quality issues, determine root causes, and propose corrective measures.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at maintaining and enhancing product quality through continuous improvement efforts.
  • Assess the needs of Quality Assurance personnel, offering guidance and support to achieve organizational and customer objectives.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with key quality team members to evaluate performance and set SMART goals aligned with the Quality Management System (QMS) objectives.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with all departments within Paumac.
  • Establish quality benchmarks tailored to customer specifications for products and processes at Paumac North Carolina.
  • Act as the primary contact for quality management, ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
  • Review and adapt customer-specific requirements and change requests to incorporate necessary criteria into quality and process plans.
  • Serve as a key member of the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) team, supporting process development in areas such as statistical techniques and production readiness.
  • Oversee documentation processes to ensure compliance with the quality manual and customer standards.
  • Manage document control for all QMS documents and quality records at the North Carolina facility.
  • Conduct internal audits and supervise internal auditors to ensure comprehensive coverage of processes and timely resolution of audit findings.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documents as required by customers.
  • Ensure that quality standards are established for all operations affecting product quality, collaborating with teams to develop detailed procedures and control plans.
  • Work with procurement teams to define quality expectations for external suppliers.
  • Establish and uphold controls and documentation procedures.
  • Collaborate with operational staff to create and maintain procedures, standards, and systems.
  • Ensure that corrective actions are effectively implemented and documented, maintaining records of corrective action requests.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators by collecting relevant data and generating statistical reports.
  • Support the development and management of key systems within the Paumac Quality Management System, including software configuration and training.
  • Coordinate with management to prioritize system implementations and training initiatives.
  • Work with IT to streamline responsibilities and avoid duplication of efforts.
  • Provide quarterly updates to management regarding system status and project progress.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards during audits.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
