Position Overview:

As a Facilities Mechanical Engineer, you will be instrumental in driving projects that are crucial to our clients' manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with team members and client stakeholders in a dynamic environment to define design requirements and produce comprehensive construction documents for the installation of advanced manufacturing tools.
- Oversee the design of piping and ducting systems for heating, cooling, exhaust, and process chemicals and gases, tailored for complex industrial facilities.
- Engage in retrofitting existing systems to facilitate tool installation, which includes performing engineering calculations, sizing, selection, and specification of equipment and components.
- Act as the mechanical representative within a multi-disciplinary design team, liaising with design staff, equipment owners, researchers, and manufacturers to develop utility requirement documents.
- Provide technical training, conduct quality checks on designs, and assist with intricate aspects of the design process.
- Potentially hold PE stamping responsibility for designs and interact with clients and contractors to support on-site construction activities.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET Accredited Institution.
- Minimum of six (6) years of hands-on experience in mechanical facilities engineering, encompassing HVAC, hydronics, process piping, exhaust, plumbing, and related systems.
- Completion of EIT/FE is required.

Preferred Skills:

- Two (2) years of experience with complex semiconductor manufacturing tools, whether in their manufacture, installation, or operation in controlled environments.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Oregon is highly desirable; actively pursuing licensure is required.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Navisworks software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Eager to learn best practices and contribute innovative ideas.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly acquire new knowledge and expand expertise.
- Effective collaboration skills within diverse teams, including multi-disciplinary design teams.
- Passionate about buildings and construction.
- Two (2) years of field experience.
