Join the American Heart Association Team

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Development Director to join our team in Seattle, Washington. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will be responsible for generating revenue for our Go Red For Women campaign, which includes our signature Go Red For Women Experience event.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies to achieve revenue goals
  • Manage and cultivate high-level corporate and individual donors
  • Build and manage executive leadership committees to identify and engage C-suite leaders and their organizations
  • Prospect, solicit, close, and steward high-level corporate and individual donors
  • Develop and implement year-round cultivation plans to ensure superior donor relations
  • Provide strategic direction and support in planning, developing, implementing, growing, and evaluating campaigns consistent with best practices and timelines
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience in fundraising, sales, or equivalent type experience
  • Strong initiative to effectively prospect and secure new business with a reputation for donor-centric results
  • Ability to do daily local travel; requires access to reliable transportation at all times on an immediate basis
  • Ability to lift and/or move large objects (such as boxes) with the expectation that heavier items would be broken down into smaller components or requesting additional assistance may be required before lifting and/or moving
