Care Access Coordinator

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Care Access Specialist to join our Patient Access Center team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service, ensuring accurate and timely registration, and coordinating communication between business units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service by consistently demonstrating a caring, positive, professional, and helpful disposition with all customer interactions.
- Verify and update patient information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage referrals for multiple clinics.
- Answer telephones, direct calls, and take messages in Epic.
- Enhance co-worker satisfaction by being a positive communicator, team player, and willing resource.
- Participate in departmental QA by utilizing system work queues and making corrections.
- Precept new co-workers as assigned.
- Message and respond to patient messages in the two-way texting platform.
- Answer clinic and provider in-basket messages.
- Work clinic cancellation, no show, and recall worklists.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Three (3) years of customer service and/or clerical experience.
Work Environment:
- Full-time position with a standard 40-hour workweek.
- Remote work arrangement available.
- Exempt from overtime.
