At TKDA, we are a proud employee-owned firm comprised of a diverse group of engineering and design experts. We are currently seeking a talented Instrumentation & Controls Engineer with a keen interest in the design of industrial, rail, and water/wastewater control systems.

Your Role

As a vital member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing comprehensive instrumentation and control system documentation, including plans, schedules, and specifications.
  • Assisting in the creation of operator interfaces and platform logic.
  • Preparing construction estimates and conducting construction administration tasks.
  • Executing system start-up and commissioning services.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience focused on control system design.
  • Proficiency in PLC controls, SCADA, and DCS configuration.
  • Strong skills in MS Office Suite applications.

Interpersonal Skills

We value strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, as well as the capacity to engage effectively in client consultations and project meetings.

Travel Requirements

Willingness to travel to client project sites as necessary for various project phases, including information gathering, construction observation, and project closeout.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional advantageous qualifications include:

  • Experience leading design teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of process automation systems.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and related design software.
