Lead Facility Maintenance Specialist

Position Overview
The Senior Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facility. This individual will support the Maintenance Manager in executing routine and preventative maintenance tasks across all equipment and assist in the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the facility. The ideal candidate possesses a diverse skill set, with substantial experience in electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and general facility maintenance. A collaborative spirit and a commitment to quality work are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct all tasks in a safe manner, adhering to company policies and safety regulations.
- Execute major repairs and preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and perform painting as needed.
- Lead efforts in construction, fabrication, and maintenance of all equipment and infrastructure within the facility.
- Carry out routine cleaning and replacement of filters on HVAC units and other equipment.
- Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Complete assigned work orders efficiently.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of facility equipment.
- Maintain knowledge of plumbing, electrical, irrigation, HVAC, and security systems.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and required training.
- Assist with unloading freight deliveries as necessary.
- Perform additional maintenance tasks as requested.
- Foster a positive work environment through a proactive attitude and self-motivation.
- Research and implement new methods to enhance efficiency and comply with applicable regulations.
- Exhibit personal hygiene and adhere to health guidelines while handling sensitive materials.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; some college education or degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in maintenance or a related field preferred.
- Advanced understanding of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical work, and general construction.
- Proficient in welding, fabrication, and mechanical skills.
- Experienced with both hand and power tools.
- Self-motivated, innovative, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to adapt and excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates professionalism and integrity, especially when handling confidential information.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and adapt to changes in policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of and compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Additional Requirements
- Must successfully pass all required background checks.
- Must comply with all legal and company regulations for employment in the industry.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Approval from state regulatory agency is necessary for employment in the cannabis sector.
Working Conditions
- This role requires regular physical activity, including grasping, talking, hearing, climbing, reaching, squatting, kneeling, crawling, and repetitive motions.
- Physical demands include the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance) safely.
