About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Food Technologist IV to join our Ingredient Solutions R&D team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing new products for the baking industry, conducting research related to food ingredients, and working on a wide variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and execute bakery and non-bakery projects to develop new and improved products to address the needs of our customers
  • Support and execute moderately complex projects including but not limited to ingredient research, procurement projects, and product development
  • Achieve project objectives by working cross functionally with operations, master data, procurement, and R&DA
  • Report/discuss work status and other critical information with peers and R&DA management
  • Participate in cross-functional project teams to deliver project objectives
  • Evaluate potential raw materials to support procurement and supply chain projects
  • Cultivate a team atmosphere with peer groups and upper management
  • Assist in maintaining a lab environment that is clean, organized, and work ready
  • Be flexible in taking additional tasks as needed to support company's business goals
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Bakery Science, Food Science, Cereal Chemistry, or related fields
  • Basic formulation and industrial processing knowledge related to bakery or food products
  • Master's or AIB a plus, but not required
  • Ability to work independently to complete multiple tasks in a timely manner
  • Proven success communicating to a wide range of audiences concerning technical and business needs
  • General understanding of bakery analytical equipment
  • Possess problem solving skills
  • Capable of self-management and multiple project/task management
  • May need to travel overnight 20-30%
