Job Summary

The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist performs routine and specialized imaging procedures in the application of ionizing radiation in accordance with established professional and departmental standards. The CT Technologist provides high-quality computerized tomography images used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist and position patients on the CT table with compassion and care.
  • Start IVs for contrast injection and perform necessary procedures.
  • Assess image quality and make adjustments as needed.
  • Release patients with proper post-procedure instructions.
  • Turn over and prepare rooms using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited AMA program with a certificate or degree in Radiology Technology.
  • Registered Computerized Tomography Technician (CT) certification or registry-eligible required within 6 months of hire.
  • Must hold a current license with the Kansas board of healing arts.
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS required.
  • Two years of experience preferred with additional training in CT scanning.
  • On-call required and must have the ability to report to the facility within 30 minutes of call back.
