Position: Head Athletic Trainer

Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Overview:

We are looking for a committed professional to take on the role of Head Athletic Trainer within our Health & Performance department. This position entails overseeing the Athletic Training division, where you will be tasked with creating and executing thorough healthcare strategies for our athletes. Your key responsibilities will include managing daily medical operations and ensuring the delivery of exceptional medical care. Additionally, you will supervise Assistant Athletic Trainers and work collaboratively with other department leaders to synchronize treatment initiatives with team goals. A proactive stance on athlete wellness is crucial, emphasizing preventive strategies and prompt injury responses during training sessions and competitions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage athlete preparation, injury prevention, and rehabilitation programs
  • Oversee medical coverage during games and coordinate healthcare delivery
  • Maintain comprehensive medical records
  • Communicate daily health updates with coaching staff and management
  • Arrange medical appointments and ensure adherence to regulations
  • Facilitate team meetings and discussions regarding medical operations

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Athletic Training from an accredited institution
  • BOC/ATC certification and eligibility for local state licensure
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Preferred 3-5 years of experience in professional sports
