POSITION SUMMARY


This role encompasses the operation of machinery and apparatus within the PDC testing and repair facility. Responsibilities include configuring machines, interpreting technical drawings and guidelines, and ensuring optimal equipment performance.

The position necessitates the ability to troubleshoot tools and products, engage in independent problem-solving, and work collaboratively with team members and engineers. Duties also involve executing equipment tests and runs, assisting in cutter and testing development initiatives, and implementing cutter adjustments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate a variety of machines and apparatus in the PDC testing and repair facility.
  • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail during machine setup to ensure consistent and reliable performance.
  • Interpret technical drawings, workflow documents, and manufacturing guidelines accurately.
  • Set up, test, and validate the functionality of equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair products and tools as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with coworkers and engineers to promptly address product and procedural issues.
  • Resolve most challenges independently, escalating only complex issues to higher management.
  • Analyze and assess testing conditions thoroughly.
  • Complete tasks with minimal oversight.
  • Inspect and measure components with diligence.
  • Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and calibration of machinery.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment.
  • Conduct equipment runs and tests, document results, prototype components, and develop methodologies.
  • Assist in cutter and testing development projects.
  • Implement cutter modifications as requested by manufacturing or repair departments.
  • Contribute to root cause analysis for field inquiries and repair center cutter questions.
  • Perform additional work-related tasks as assigned.
  • Adhere to all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with PDC cutters is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Proven experience in following procedures and documentation.
  • Strong English language skills, both written and verbal.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

  • Willingness to engage in improvement initiatives and provide constructive feedback.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to stand, sit, bend, and reach for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting 25 lbs to shoulder height.
  • Able to exert light physical effort to lift or move materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
