Medical and Surgical Nursing Opportunities

ChristianaCare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Nurse Residency Program, a comprehensive training program designed to support new nurses in their transition to practice.

The program is accredited with distinction by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation in Practice Transition Programs and offers a structured and supportive environment for nurses to develop their skills and confidence.

As a Nurse Resident, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of medical and surgical units, including medical intermediate care, ortho/neuro/trauma surgical, and joint replacement units.

Our Nurse Residency Program is designed to provide a strong foundation for nursing practice in a fast-paced, challenging environment. You will receive preceptor-led clinical experiences, lecture and simulation education, and peer support to help you develop your critical thinking, evidence-based practice, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.

We are committed to supporting all registered nurses with under one year of experience through a nurse residency specialty track. Our program is designed to help you build a strong foundation for nursing practice and provide a clear path for career advancement.

Requirements:

  • Graduating from an accredited registered nursing school (BSN preferred)
  • BLS required
  • Less than 12 months of nursing experience by the start of the program
  • Eligible for Delaware license as a Graduate Nurse/Registered Nurse or multi-state RN from a compact state
