About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Residency Program Coordinator in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at ChristianaCare.

As a Nurse Residency Program Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the transition of new graduate nurses into the professional role of a Registered Nurse. You will work closely with the residency program team to develop and implement educational programs, provide mentorship and coaching, and facilitate the integration of new nurses into the NICU team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement educational programs to support the transition of new graduate nurses into the professional role of a Registered Nurse.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to new nurses to ensure a smooth transition into the NICU team.
  • Facilitate the integration of new nurses into the NICU team, including orientation and onboarding processes.
  • Collaborate with the residency program team to develop and implement strategies to improve nurse retention and satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular evaluations and assessments of new nurses to ensure they are meeting the necessary competencies and standards.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Delaware (or compact state).
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a critical care setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
