COLSA Corporation is looking for qualified candidates for the position of Test Engineer specializing in C4ISR Systems.

Position Overview:

We are in search of a dedicated professional who will collaborate as part of an integrated product team to innovate and evaluate advanced concepts that encompass next-generation network capabilities for the US Air Force. This role demands a proactive individual ready to engage in developmental testing within a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The position is based in support of a significant USAF contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the USAF developmental test and evaluation (DT&E) of both new and modified Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems and network capabilities, adhering to government-approved test plans and criteria.
  • Oversee the execution of Information Technology (IT) and network infrastructure development tests.
  • Engage in test planning and execution, data collection and analysis, and evaluation of system effectiveness, culminating in comprehensive test reporting.
  • Provide test support through the recommendation of system performance requirements, formulation of test objectives, and development of detailed test procedures.
  • Review technical specifications and system design documents while facilitating meetings for test planning and technical exchanges.
  • Critique programmatic documents, including test and evaluation master plans and qualification test procedures.
  • Collaborate with system program offices to define test methodologies and objectives, and to create test plans for newly developed or modified C4ISR systems.
  • Coordinate with internal and external testing communities to schedule necessary resources and facilities.
  • Establish data requirements and work with instrumentation personnel to ensure accurate data collection.
  • Conduct briefings for test team members and support personnel regarding mission objectives and responsibilities.
  • Direct systems test events to achieve established test objectives.
  • Analyze test data to assess system performance and identify deficiencies, documenting results in technical reports.
  • Offer technical guidance and support to military test directors.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 3-8 years of applicable experience.
  • Associate's degree in a relevant field with 7-12 years of applicable experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 10-16 years of applicable experience.


• Proficiency in airborne network infrastructures, information technology, or C4ISR systems is essential.


• Familiarity with DevSecOps and Agile software development methodologies is required.


• Ability to operate within system integration labs during testing activities is necessary.


• US Citizenship is mandatory, along with an active DoD TOP SECRET clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a SCI clearance.


• Willingness to travel to various locations for meetings, site surveys, and testing as needed.


• Experience with modular software architecture and Cloud-native applications or platforms is preferred.
