PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: Assist members with various account transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and payments, as well as the initiation and management of all deposit accounts and consumer loan products. Support the opening and servicing of Mortgages, IRAs, and Business deposit or lending products, referring to management or specialists as necessary. Carry out diverse responsibilities that promote and support all services offered to both new and existing members.

SCHEDULE: Generally, hours per week consist of a flexible schedule including Tuesdays and Fridays from 8:45 AM to 5:15 PM, Thursdays from 9:45 AM to 6:15 PM, and every Saturday from 8:15 AM to 12:15 PM.

COMPENSATION: Pay rate of $19.25 per hour with a minimum of 1 year of prior retail experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop proficiency in all aspects of dialogue-banking, needs assessment, and consultative selling.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of services provided by partners, making referrals as necessary.
  • Assess and confirm the needs of each individual member served.
  • Provide detailed information, service, and guidance on all consumer and business deposit accounts, lending products, and related services.
  • Aim to exceed member expectations and achieve high service ratings during each interaction.
  • Secure new memberships and enhance existing relationships through cross-selling of all programs during member interactions.
  • Assist in the recommendation and implementation of suitable products and services for member needs.
  • Conduct consumer loan interviews, ensuring accuracy in application data and collateral needs.
  • Review credit reports and underwriting factors to define loan conditions for consumer loans.
  • Qualify and close consumer loans within established guidelines.
  • Develop knowledge in IRA processes to open accounts and manage transactions.
  • Act as a Mortgage Loan Originator, assisting members with the application process.
  • Ensure all necessary disclosures and documentation are provided and retained.
  • Balance cash drawer and settle daily activities as required.
  • Perform BSA compliance duties as per policy.
  • Represent the organization at various branches as needed.
  • Stay updated on job-related equipment and procedures through continuous learning.
  • Adhere to all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Engage in community involvement and participate in special projects as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education: A high school diploma.

Experience: 1 - 3 years in customer service or loan departments of financial institutions or related experience.

Skills: Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Word/Outlook.
