PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: Assist members with a variety of account transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and payments, while also managing the opening and servicing of all deposit accounts and consumer loan products. Facilitate the opening and servicing of Mortgages, IRAs, and Business deposit or lending products, referring to management or specialists as necessary. Promote and support all services offered by the Chamber to both new and existing members.

SCHEDULE: Generally, hours per week consist of the following schedule with some flexibility available: Tuesdays and Fridays 8:45 AM - 5:15 PM, Thursdays 9:45 AM - 6:15 PM, and every Saturday 8:15 AM - 12:15 PM.

Pay Rate: $19.25 per hour with a minimum of 1 year of prior retail experience.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop proficiency in all aspects of dialogue-banking, needs assessment, and consultative selling.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of services provided by partners, making referrals as appropriate.
  • Assess and confirm the needs of each individual member served.
  • Provide detailed information, service, and guidance on all consumer and business deposit accounts, as well as lending products and related services.
  • Aim to exceed member expectations and achieve high service ratings on each interaction.
  • Secure new memberships and enhance existing relationships through cross-selling of all programs during each interaction.
  • Assist in the recommendation and implementation of products and services suitable for member needs.
  • Conduct consumer loan interviews, ensuring accuracy in application data and collateral needs.
  • Review credit reports and underwriting factors to define loan conditions.
  • Qualify and close consumer loans within established guidelines.
  • Develop knowledge of IRA accounts and assist with transactions.
  • Act as a Mortgage Loan Originator, fulfilling all requirements to maintain active registration.
  • Balance cash drawer and other monetary instruments while settling daily activities.
  • Perform BSA compliance duties as required.
  • Represent the Chamber at various branches as needed.
  • Stay informed on job-related equipment and procedures through ongoing education.
  • Adhere to all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Engage in community involvement and participate in special projects as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education: High school diploma

Experience: 1 - 3 years in customer service or loan departments of financial institutions or related experience.

Skills: Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical skills, ability to cross-sell, and interact professionally through various communication methods. Proficiency in office machines and basic Microsoft Word/Outlook skills.
