You will collaborate closely with the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager to enhance profitability by ensuring that customer interaction, merchandising, operations, and community engagement are all aligned with company standards.

Your Role in Our Success

In this position, you will:

  • Coach and nurture staff to surpass individual and store productivity targets.
  • Engage customers in meaningful discussions about our products, activities, and local community initiatives.
  • Supervise floor operations, including managing store opening and closing procedures as scheduled.
  • Assist the Store Manager in training and developing store personnel in customer engagement and all company policies and procedures.
  • Support the Store Manager in achieving financial and operational goals, including expense management, loss prevention, store evaluations, and weekly reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager on visual merchandising strategies and maintain standards that reflect our brand's vision; ensure merchandise on the sales floor is replenished effectively.
  • Work with the Store Manager to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and company directives.
  • Exemplify behavior that respects diverse backgrounds and experiences while upholding the integrity and values of VF Corporation and the brand.
  • Foster an environment that promotes participation, creativity, and learning by sharing best practices and building on the ideas of others.

What You Bring to the Team

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of management experience in a dynamic retail environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales objectives.
  • Flexibility to work a schedule that meets the business needs, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced retail setting.
  • Proven track record of driving results through teamwork.
  • Willingness to learn and share knowledge about products and community activities relevant to our customer base.
  • Desire to deliver an engaging customer experience through personalized service and relationship building.
  • Strong decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheets.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in specialty retail or the outdoor apparel sector.
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to operate office equipment and technology.
  • Standing for extended periods is required.
  • Ability to lift and move products weighing up to 50 pounds as necessary.
  • Use of ladders for visual merchandising and adjustments.
