Position Overview: As a Level 2 Automotive Product Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional support to Client dealerships regarding diagnostic software and hardware challenges related to specific vehicle modules and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct assistance to Client dealerships for complex diagnostic software and hardware issues, facilitating the escalation process through the Technical Assistance Center.
  • Collaborate with Diagnostics System Specialists and liaise with relevant Client departments, including Engineering and Quality, to address diagnosis concerns.
  • Deliver prompt and effective solutions to dealership technicians to mitigate backlog development.
  • Utilize various communication channels, including phone and email, to support dealers and technicians through the Global Technical Assistance Center (GTAC) system.
  • Assist management in directing service needs to ensure a high-quality, continuously improving support experience.
  • Conduct preliminary triage of ECU (Electronic Control Units) Software log events, focusing on Infotainment and Connectivity modules.
  • Work closely with module Engineers to identify and resolve existing or emerging issues.
  • Identify the ECU Software for all ECUs on target vehicles, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of complex inquiries from dealers.
  • Employ deductive reasoning to make informed business decisions and maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
  • Manage multiple tools and maintain the Technical Service Request (TSR) databases with meticulous attention to detail and urgency.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, manage open requests, and facilitate appropriate escalations or closures.
  • Possess a solid understanding of automotive hardware and software issues, including their causes and solutions.
  • Strive for seamless issue resolution, focusing on delivering accurate and timely solutions to technicians.
  • Review and validate TSRs from dealers/technicians, ensuring the accuracy of historical data and information.
  • Escalate any issues that hinder task completion and achievement of service level agreements (SLAs) in a timely and professional manner.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to escalations received from stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Product Support and Technical Assistance.
  • Proficient in automotive hardware and software systems and their functionalities.
  • Experience in managing customer complaints and committed to delivering excellent customer experiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience in process improvement initiatives as a contributor or participant.
  • Strong team-oriented mindset and situational awareness to assess the impact of support issues.
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
