Position Overview

Job Title: Pastry and Coffee Specialist

Department: Bakery

Reports To: Bakery Manager

Work Schedule: Regular position, 37.5 hours per week with varied shifts including mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Compensation: Starting pay at $18.57 per hour.

Job Summary:

The Pastry and Coffee Specialist plays a crucial role in the Bakery department, focusing on the preparation of high-quality coffee beverages and baked goods. This position requires a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service while fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve coffee drinks and bakery items to customer specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Engage with customers in a friendly manner, providing product information and assisting with selections.
  • Stock, package, and label bakery products, ensuring freshness and quality.
  • Assist in creating attractive displays to promote seasonal and featured items.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Participate in inventory management and assist with ordering supplies as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in customer service or food service is preferred.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves medium physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting. Candidates should be prepared for a dynamic work environment with varying temperatures and conditions.
