- Manage Tier one telephone calls and trouble tickets for scheduled events and ad-hoc requests.
- Frontline troubleshooting of system and network anomalies, documenting events and actions taken prior to escalation.
- Communicate cross-functionally with stakeholders, including engineering and field service, regarding hardware and software issues.
- Follow through with internal and external customers in a timely manner.
- Identify opportunities to improve products, services, and processes through open conversations with peers and leadership.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a helpdesk Technical Support environment with networking, PC, and product knowledge.
- Understanding of networking and configuration concepts, including router, switches, and SonicWALL networking devices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Windows operating system.
- Intermediate PC peripherals and software application troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with MPLS, DSL, T1, fiber, and VPN.
- Basic server and SQL knowledge.
- Linux operating system.
- Certifications CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft IT Support a plus.
- Associate degree in Information Technology preferred.
- Strong customer service and support skills.
- Phone etiquette.
- Ability to navigate call automation software.
- Attention to detail with strong verbal and written communication skills.
