Surgical Operations Coordinator

Job Summary:
The Surgical Coordinator will assist practice managers in the daily operations of the central scheduling unit. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can ensure information is obtained regarding the scheduling of physicians on call.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage tasks related to booking hospital procedures
- Demonstrate a pleasant phone voice and communication
- Work in a detailed-oriented environment
- Perform duties related to patient care in a team-based care and integrative health environment
- Competency in all skills related to providing exceptional patient care
Front Office Duties:
- Greet patients, answer phones, schedule patients, and verify insurances
- Demonstrate knowledge of insurance issues affecting patient care
- Secure prior authorizations and authorization for procedures
- Ensure necessary medical record information is present for procedures, including medical clearance if needed
- Work collaboratively with hospital personnel to ensure procedures are booked, providing a seamless process for patients
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of physician office scheduling experience
- Clinical experience preferred
