About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Property Manager to join our team at Housing and Neighborhood Development Services (HANDS). As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of our affordable housing portfolio, ensuring that our properties meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Department Leadership: Develop and implement property management operational policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations.
  • Property Management: Leverage your expertise to manage the leasing and collections process, including marketing and outreach plans, lease provisions, and rent collections.
  • Budget Management: Create and manage annual site budgets, ensuring timely submission to senior staff for approval.
  • Maintenance: Oversee regular property inspections, maintenance requests, and vendor management, ensuring that properties are well-maintained and meet safety standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum 4-5 years of property management experience in affordable rental housing positions.
  • Strong knowledge of local and federal Fair Housing laws.
  • Bachelor's degree in management/finance or equivalent industry experience.
  • Excellent leadership, team building, and negotiation skills.
  • Valid Driver's License and auto insurance in good standing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the HOME, Section 42 Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program, and other affordable housing programs.
  • Knowledge of housing development and financing.
  • Experience in community development.
  • Knowledge of Spanish desirable.
