Assistant Branch Manager

As an Assistant Branch Manager at United Community Bank, you will play a vital role in supporting the Branch Manager in delivering exceptional customer service and sales activities. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Branch Manager in overall operations in the Loan Support, Teller, and CSR areas
- Cross-trained to assist by operating a Teller window during heavy customer periods or staffing shortages, as well as filling in as a CSR
- Assist the Head Teller in compiling monthly reports on Teller Transactions and Teller Over and Short Reports, and quarterly self-assessments
- Assist in interviewing consumer and small business loan applicants and complete loan application process as needed
- Stay abreast of all training, including regulations as it applies to the lending and deposit areas, as well as branch operations
- Generate new relationships/new accounts, actively cross-selling bank products and services through outbound calling
- Update and monitor sales activities using 360 View
- Maintain and stay abreast of security policies and procedures
- Assist with attaining internal performance objectives for branch sales, deposit, and loan growth, and quality of audit reports
- Motivate, train, and coach employees to achieve branch goals. Assist with work schedules, employee performance reviews, and when required, disciplines subordinates
- Represent the financial institution to the community in activities which may include civic duties and outside business development calling
Supervisory Responsibility
In the absence of the Branch Manager, the Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for the coaching, development, and performance management of branch employees.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position that requires schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed. The position requires up to 25% travel.
