Patient Care Technician Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at Roper St. Francis Healthcare. As a Patient Care Technician, you will provide direct patient care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse or designated healthcare professional, ensuring the highest level of care and comfort for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide basic patient care, including vital sign measurement, personal care, and hygiene, as well as assist with mobility and unit-based specialty duties.
- Act as a liaison between patients and nurses, reporting changes and concerns in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors, and employees, ensuring a positive and compassionate experience.
- Accurately and precisely document patient care, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Participate in hand-off and report of pertinent information regarding patient and departmental needs.
- Perform delegated tasks once competency has been validated, ensuring the highest level of care and safety.
- Graduate of an accredited high school or GED equivalency examination, with completion of Fundamentals of Nursing course or a Nursing Assistant Program.
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent.
- One year of relevant experience in a clinical setting, preferably in an acute care setting or nursing home.
- Ability to work in a team environment, providing excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of patient care tasks and techniques, as well as organizational policies and procedures.
