Job Overview
As a Kitchen Supervisor at GetGo Café + Market, you will be responsible for leading a team of culinary professionals to deliver exceptional food service to our customers. You will be the driving force behind maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring that all food products meet our high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to food safety protocols and ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained.
- Lead a team of culinary professionals to deliver exceptional food service, including preparing and cooking food, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
- Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and inventory levels to ensure that we are meeting our financial goals.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction, including menu development, promotions, and customer service initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to develop and implement cross-functional initiatives that drive business growth.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve our food service operations.
- Ensure that all Team Members have access to the training and resources they need to succeed in their roles.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to Team Members to help them improve their performance.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in a supervisory role in the food service industry.
- Experience in food safety and sanitation procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Certification in food safety and sanitation preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
