Job Overview

As a Kitchen Supervisor at GetGo Café + Market, you will be responsible for leading a team of culinary professionals to deliver exceptional food service to our customers. You will be the driving force behind maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring that all food products meet our high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to food safety protocols and ensuring that all team members are trained on proper food handling and preparation techniques.
  • Lead a team of culinary professionals to deliver exceptional food service, ensuring that all menu items are prepared to our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and inventory levels to ensure that we are operating within our budget.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty, including menu engineering and promotions.
  • Collaborate with the store leadership team to achieve sales and profit goals, and to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Provide coaching and training to team members to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Ensure that all team members are cross-trained on all positions to ensure flexibility and efficiency in the kitchen.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including equipment, utensils, and storage areas.
  • Stay up-to-date on food trends, menu ideas, and culinary techniques to ensure that our menu offerings are innovative and appealing to our customers.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in a supervisory role in the food service industry.
  • Experience in food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
