About This Role

As a Supervisor Customer Service at Graybar, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service. You will oversee a team of customer service representatives, guiding them to provide top-notch service and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Supervise a customer service department, including assigning and reviewing tasks, and providing guidance and support to team members.
  • Process Development: Establish and maintain departmental work procedures, prepare schedules, and expedite workflow to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Employee Development: Train and develop employees to enhance their skills and knowledge, ensuring they are equipped to handle customer inquiries and issues effectively.
  • Customer Experience: Ensure every customer interaction is of the highest quality, meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the branch team to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Performance Management: Recommend transfers, promotions, increases, and terminations based on employee performance and company needs.
Requirements
  • Communication Skills: Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers and team members.
  • Customer Service Passion: Demonstrate a genuine passion for customer service and a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences.
  • Leadership Skills: Exhibit supervisory and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members to achieve their best.
  • Customer Situation Handling: Show the ability to handle a variety of customer situations with enthusiasm, tact, and professionalism.
  • Experience: Preferably 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing role, with a strong background in customer service and team leadership.
  • Education: A 2-year or 4-year degree is preferred, but not required.
Compensation and Benefits

The expected salary for this position is $80,000 - $95,000 annually, depending on experience. This role is also bonus eligible based on specific business metrics.
