About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Technician to join our team at Centerline Drivers. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and cooling systems for our commercial customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance on commercial HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units, including electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with HVAC systems to identify repair and replacement needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of service and maintenance activities, including digital and written documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Travel to job sites in the service area, working with dispatch to ensure schedules are maintained and delays are properly communicated to customers.
  • Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
  • Document all installed equipment, including make, model, serial number, type of fuel, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary.
  • Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain replacement parts, and calibrate systems to manufacturer's recommendations.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of commercial HVAC experience.
  • High School Diploma or Associates Degree.
  • Microsoft Office experience, specifically Word and Excel.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Willingness to travel, with some overnight stays required.
  • HVAC Journeyman, E02, and EPA Universal certifications preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to utilize mobile devices throughout the workday.
Work Environment

The physical demands of this role include regular walking, talking, and hearing. The employee must regularly lift up to 51 pounds, push, pull, carry, or maneuver heavier items with additional manpower or appropriate devices. The employee is expected to work in all weather conditions, both in extreme cold and heat, and may drive for extended periods of time, including all weather and light conditions.

Compensation

Expected compensation includes $35-50/hour, with benefits including medical, vision, and dental benefits, and a 401(k) retirement plan available for eligible employees. Compensation may vary depending on factors such as education, training, experience, skills, geographic location, seniority, merit, and other job-related factors.
