Role Overview

The Maintenance Shift Technician I is responsible for executing preventative upkeep, conducting repairs, and performing initial diagnostics on various building systems and equipment utilized in both clinical and non-clinical settings. This position may focus on specific trades such as carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical systems.

Educational Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience Requirements

  • Preferred 1 year of experience in facility maintenance and operations, particularly in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or finished carpentry.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Must maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Completion of an endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification is required within the first month of employment.

Essential Skills and Competencies

  • Proven safe work practices in relevant trades.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Windows desktop applications and navigation.

Compensation Differentials

  • $4.25 - Evening shifts
  • $8.00 - Night shifts
  • $4.75 - Weekend shifts

Salary Range: $26.97
