Position SummaryThis role involves performing delegated respiratory care treatments for non-invasively ventilated patients in medical/surgical units, in cooperation with assigned licensed respiratory therapists. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting patient assessments and therapy
- Providing non-invasive mechanical ventilation
- Monitoring emergency procedures
This position requires a student in good standing, enrolled in an AMA and NBRC-approved Associate in Applied Science Degree Respiratory Care Program, with successful completion of the first year of didactic and clinical education. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
