Job Summary

We are seeking a Respiratory Care Intern to join our team in a collaborative environment where clinical and technical expertise are valued.

The successful candidate will perform delegated respiratory care treatments, including non-invasively ventilated patients in medical/surgical units, in cooperation with assigned licensed respiratory therapist resources.

Responsibilities
  • Perform patient assessments, therapy, and non-invasive mechanical ventilation
  • Monitor emergency procedures according to department and hospital policies and procedures
  • Participate in clinical and operational processes, education of peers and patients, and research activities
Qualifications
  • Student in good standing, enrolled in an AMA and NBRC approved Associate in Applied Science Degree Respiratory Care Program
  • Successfully completed the first year of a Respiratory Care didactic and clinical education or 1-year of patient care related experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
