Job SummaryWe are seeking a Respiratory Care Intern to join our team in a collaborative environment where clinical and technical expertise are valued.
The successful candidate will perform delegated respiratory care treatments, including non-invasively ventilated patients in medical/surgical units, in cooperation with assigned licensed respiratory therapist resources.
Responsibilities- Perform patient assessments, therapy, and non-invasive mechanical ventilation
- Monitor emergency procedures according to department and hospital policies and procedures
- Participate in clinical and operational processes, education of peers and patients, and research activities
- Student in good standing, enrolled in an AMA and NBRC approved Associate in Applied Science Degree Respiratory Care Program
- Successfully completed the first year of a Respiratory Care didactic and clinical education or 1-year of patient care related experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
